Chihuly Studios and Exotic Aquatics

Exotic Aquatics has partnered with Chihuly Studio to create an underwater world that engages audiences in a totally unique way. This aquarium is the renowned artist Dale Chihuly's newest installation, a culmination of his long-time fascination with the sea and his ability to continually re-interpret the ancient medium of glass.

Chihuly has always drawn inspiration from nature, and this appreciation is essential to his creative process. He embraces the spontaneity of organic form, and masterfully employs natural phenomena including fire, gravity, and centrifugal force in making his work. In turn, his creations exude an intense vitality, especially when set among sea life in the aquarium.

Glass elements reminiscent of anemones and coral reef co-exist with the sea life, as they become active participants in the new Chihuly marine environment. This dynamic juxtaposition of art and nature is both beautiful and mysterious, enticing viewers to look closely and admire.
